OEM unlock, erasing failed.

My tablet is stuck on the boot loader screen, I have tried to unlock the boot loader using fastboot OEM unlock but after I select "unlock boot loader" it says "erasing...." And then "FAILED (remote: (unknown error code))
It is still saying " locked" on the boot loader screen.

Can anybody help?
