Last August 2015, I bought a ZE551ML Zenfone 2. It has the 1.8 GHz Intel Atom with 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal Storage. Also has a 16GB SanDisk MicroSD Card. It has been working perfectly since August but since today it has been randomly shutting off, when browsing, or opening Google Docs or even just opening settings in would shut down, I recently updated it (The night before) and I have dropped it but only twice and both times back in November. I realise this could be a battery problem because I actually have mostly charged it for around 8 hours every night before use the next day. Today, I left the phone on until 9am but then shut it down normally and left it that way until around 4pm. I shut it down with about 73% battery left.
It gets worse though. Earlier, I turned my phone on at around 4pm and tried using it to use if it would work. It had around 84% and it still kept shutting down and when it did, I left it like that for the rest of the afternoon. It had about 67% before it shut down. At around 6:30pm, I got the phone again and tried turning it on but this time it would not even turn on. Despite letting it charge for a while, it would not turn on even while plugged in.
Hopefully someone can help me out with this as I don't want to buy a new phone :(
