So this just happened. My perfectly functioning 2 year old G2 was found on the floor when I was awake and this white lines issue came up. My bed is 50cm high, and because the phone fell flat on its back (safest way there is) I don't know what exactly must have caused this.

I opened up the phone and put a black tape (shown in the photos below) which was kind of pointless as there already was a factory tape (transparent yellow) installed there.

Anyways, I use a SRK-G2 rom (stock LP based) and twrp. Anythings I could try to get it working back again without visiting a service center. Mind you everything in the phone is functioning perfectly.
