The next OnePlus flagship is all set to be revealed on June 20th, but that does not stop the company from handing out teasers. In its latest one, OnePlus has officially confirmed and revealed the dual camera design on the OnePlus 5.
The confirmation comes on the heels of leaked images that showcased a device that looks very similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. As posted by Android Police, the leaked image of the OnePlus 5 gave us a good look at the rear camera design. The image from Android Police showcased a thin device, and OnePlus's teaser confirms that the next flagship would be far from bulky. The camera module does protrude beyond the back of the device, but prima-facie, the camera bump looks a bit toned down from the one on the OnePlus 3/3T.
As far as specifications for the OnePlus 5 go, Amazon.in's landing page for the OnePlus 5 (as pointed out by Evan Blass) mentions in its source code that the device will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and 8GB of RAM. One of OnePlus's earlier teaser implied that the new device will be marginally smaller than the OnePlus 3, so OnePlus is likely to maintain the 5.5″ display size for the flagship. With how thin the device appears, we would not hold our breaths on the device coming with a battery capacity larger than the OnePlus 3/3T.
What are your thoughts on the OnePlus 5, its design and its dual rear camera setup? Will OnePlus finally be able to compete against top flagships in the camera department? Let us know in the comments below!
