Return to Stock? XT1097 RETCA

I was wondering how I would return my moto x to stock firmware. Am I just able to flash the stock firmware files? If so, can anyone provide the latest retca 6.0 firmware files for xt1097 as I don't want to FUBAR my device. If it counts for anything, I was on MPE24.49-18 marshmallow.

Unlocking the device with the latest update 6.0

Just bought this phone for $40 clean imei and ready to be activated with sprint. However, i tried unlocking it using different methods but none of the methods work at all. i don't want to risk bricking the device. I contacted Sprint and they told me i have to call the previous owner to request otherwise they won't unlock. I called the international tech team and they told me the same. The owner won't respond to my texts or calls and now I am just stuck with this device! I searched in here and found some members who are willing to do but none of them I could trust. One who wants to get full control of my laptop and pay him in advance $30, and the other guy want me to ship the phone, pay him $60 and just wait for it!! he's not my dad , he is not a relative, so thats a big NO. Please help if you know any method that may work , other sites won't unlock a CDMA phone especially Sprint devices. So I either find a way to unlock this ugly device, or just sell it. BTW Sprint told me i can have a prepaid account and wait 90 days then request and thats a no either. I don't know what to do at this point

all about coolpad note 3 plus

There is a stock rom link for this device which is corrupted
Even root file for this phone is harder to find
And after root there is no custom recovery
So cant even install exposed
And if we try to install recovery from note 3 it wont boot in recovery any more
Just tell me what to do??
Cant flash stock cause its corrupted (downloaded 7 times with highspeed net website shows size of 1. 9 gb but file size what you download is 1. 32 gb)

Quick Charge 1.0-2.0-3.0/Adaptive Fast Charging/Type-C specification?

I just ordered 2 Note 7s (one for my wife, one for me). I figure it would be a good time to stock on up some Type C wires. Well 5 hours of research later i'm about to go back to a beeper and AA batteries. Let me just lay explain how I understand everything so far, Quick Charge 1.0-2.0-3.0/Adaptive Fast Charging are different competing "formats" in fast charge tech, Adaptive Fast Charging being a Samsung only thing, Quick Charge being a Qualcomm thing. Both of these "formats" are not USB Type C certified. Type C on it's own will fast charge as part of the spec. Quick Charge 3.0 does other bad things like take over data pins to give even more juice to the device, more so than Type C can give. Also both Quick Charge 1.0-2.0-3.0/Adaptive Fast Charging are always "hot" where if you have a in spec Type C charger it does not flow power till it sees a device is plugged in? Recently an issue popped up that "smart" Type C cables were trickling in spec Type C chargers to flow juice by pretending it was a device, this caused issues where it could flow fast charge (as in the built in to Type C spec fast charge) into a non fast charge device. This is really only an issue since Type C cables (as in Type C on both ends) because you need a chip in the wire to control how power works since you could plug both ends into wallworts for example, so in theory, no dumb Type C to Typc C wire should exist, right? Do I have all this right so far?


Let's back track to my Note 7s. I'm "safe" if I use the OEM charger and wire (safe in "" because it's always hot thanks to Adaptive Fast Charging). So being the Note 7 is kinda a bridge device between micro USB and type C the only cable it should ever get is a USB A to Typc C, right? It would be unsafe to plug in a Typc C charger and use a Type C (both ends) wire, right? Now also, I notice other strange things with this entire thing. I bought a wireless quick charger off amazon, offbrand but well reviewed. It want's Quick Charge 2.0 power. So you look at Anker and it's PowerIQ line. It's trying to be a jack of all trades, I don't see to much info on them. Would they be safe to use to charge my phones?


Is all this confusion just part of a new plug roll out? In 5 years time will I be able to just buy wires without worrying like I used to with micro USB?

Suddenly have keyboard lag - can't work out how/why

Running a non-rooted Duos Note 7 with Nova launcher and about 30 apps (keeping it light for now). It's run smooth for the past week and then suddenly (about 12 hours ago I started to experience keyboard lag). It was around the time I changed the system font to Samsung Sans (via the official store) so I switched it back but nothing changed. I thought maybe it's my Google Keyboard, but it's doing the same thing with the stock Samsung app.
I type fast and the letters on the screen feel like they can't keep up. Deleting is even laggier.

This is the kind of crap I experienced when I had a Note 1 years ago. Didn't think it would still be plaguing me. Anyone have any bright ideas or experiencing the same?

[Q] Applications stopping at every time.

Good afternoon.

I have a problem with Mother Moto RAZR M: Every 8-10 minutes, an application stops. Almost never is the same application. Per example (the order of the last 5 applications):

WhatsApp
Google Play Services
android.process.acore
SimCity BuildIt
android.process.phone

Need you to know what they stop even if I'm not using them (nor opened them).

Also, if it's of help, I always had the problem what, when entering to "Storage", just 7 seconds later it stops and closes ALL applications.

PD: I already flashed a new ROM. 3 times. Always the same problems.
PD2: I always flash the Stock Verizon ROM. My mother dislikes A LOT custom ROMS because she lost a Samsung Galaxy S because trying to put a Custom ROM, and I hard-bricked my RAZR M almost a year ago trying to use a Custom ROM (I still have that dead-corpse in my room)

Did ZTE underestimate the demand of their Axon 7?

The damn phone is on backorder every where in the US at least. Looked online at amazon and eBay's uk sites and they don't even have any period. Not sure if the phone has even hit Europe yet. I've been holding out for the 6GB model but I am tired of my GS6 Edge and it's broken screen and my backup phone is like a 2013 Moto x and yeah it sucks.

Nexus 5X won't turn on, bootloop when charging

So yesterday I was trying to make a phone call and the phone went dead. I tried turning it back on but to no avail. When connected to a charger, it just shows the battery for a while and then it disappears and reboots to showing it again only to reboot itself again. Needless to say, I am stuck with a bricked phone. I managed to get it up and running by flashing the stock rom but after update to Android 7.0 the problem came back after like 10 hours. Now I can't even get into bootloader without the phone being connected to a charger, which is a problem because I can't flash anything through charger obviously. Connecting the phone through USB does not work, the phone stays dead like it is out of juice. With that being said I think it might be a faulty bootloader. The power button is fine, so I think we can count this option out. Any other ideas? I am considering taking the phone to the shop where I bought it as it is still under warranty but because it is not Google they might refuse to replace it with a new one or repair it. Is there anything I can do?

Suitable downgrade firmware with "Hidden meny" options available?

Wondering if anyone could give me a hint of which stock firmware I would need in order to get options in the hidden menu available and thats compatible with Samsung GT-I8730.
Currently running Android-version 4.1.2 original stock firmware.

Trying to unlock SIM, using Chimera but gets stuck at 19%, when a popup-window tells me to enable Diagnostic Mode (DM) by using *#0808# or *#9090# or *#7284# in dial window
The two first options nothing happens at all and dialing *#7284# brings me to PhoneUtil with options UART, Modem or PDA, where PDA was default but there is no USB section available.
Also I would need the *#9090# to set Diag config to USB-value.

Am new at this and would be grateful for any help I can get

Root access in ADB shell

Hey guys I am struggling pretty hard right now. Currently my phone is locked out, I can't get past the lock screen.. something happened to the code I use, not sure. Anyway, I've read up online and people are saying that I could "rm *.key" and that should give me back access to my phone. So I'm in ADB shell trying to rm *.key but I can't get permission. My phone is previously rooted, and when I type su my phone light sup but because I can't get past the lockscreen I can't grant access.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

recently my Zenfone 2 died and I need to get a new phone before college year starts, I'm looking for a phone for 300$ or less what I'm concerned for is simple, good for media, so a good screen, a good CPU and also it'll be really nice id it doesn't overheat because I still feel bad for my hands from back when I had the Nexus 4 (AKA the portable Oven)...

Mail Phone to get it fixed Services?

My phone is stuck in the boot options, there is no OS installed. I can't mount the system drive to do anything. I've Googled the error and no one seems to be having the problem I have.

Android x-86, i cant do swipe gesture to unlock, how to remove this check?

Hello,
i had working Android 4.4 on my Lenovo E130 netbook, but after upgrade to Android 5 and even Android 6, im unable to log in. I had loggin password, but it was replaced by some swipe to unlock screen,
problem is that thanks to mouse implementation, im unable to swipe with my touchpad, clickpad or external mouse.. or this move inst properly registred, i everytime ends in emergency call screen.
Or maybe im only dont know proper swipe gesture (yeah these new technologies), im trying to hold my mouse left button and moving from bottom middle screen to middle-middle..

I can edit Android filem from other OS, if it could help?

[Brick] Hard bricked my Huawei Y300...

Hi guys,

I've flashed a wrong kernel for my huawei Y300 and now he is bricked. I boot on a green screen with two rectangles blue and red. When I connect the phone to my computer, he's not detected. The only thing I can do is to put a microSD card and boot into download mode to install the stock firmware, but the installation stucks at 1/3.

I've seen many threads, but not found any fix. Please help !

Downgrading From Android N

So I just bought a Nexus 9 off ebay, works great, but it came with Android N. So I decided to downgrade it to 5.0 (I have certain apps that don't work on later OS's) I downgrading to Android 5.0 no problem. Then I went through the Android startup screen. After it forced me to log into Wi-Fi, it told me I had to update and restart the device. (Putting it back on Android N). Is there no way to get around this? At this point it is looking like a waste of $250.

My phone Samsung Galaxy I9082 can't open any custom rom.

That show in cwm that installation completed !!! But when I go to reboot the system then it stuck on boot. I have tried wipe data factory reset . But there is no benefit for me. :(:(

I read a few articles on the internet to know if our 2 years old G3 is getting latest Nougat update, some are saying that it wont get any updates sooner or later but some articles mention that G3 is more likely to be updated to android N. The methods given are different in each one of them (not totally different)

My questionS ARE
1.Don't we need to unlock bootloader? Askin this cause some rooting tutorial here don't mention it and some does.

2.If so how to unlock bootloader in MARSHMALLOW
Settings -> Developer options -> Enable OEM Unlock Right ???
2.2.What happened if i just flick this 'Enable OEM Unlock' button ? Does the Phone Factory resets ?
2.3. What exactly is the purpose of unlocking bootloader?

3.Whats the correct order of doing it?
Like what we have to do first
Unlock bootloader -> flash custom recovery -> flash rooting/rom zip . Am i right ?

On my old device that was Sam Galaxy fit therr was no matter of bootloader and stuff
What i usually did with this snapdragon device was flash stock firmware/recoveries via odin and anf flash roms via cwm thats it . But im new to this processor and unfamiliar with bootloader..

phone stuck in fastboot mode and cant connect to pc

ok Hey
i have an LG G3 beat (D722)
So i wanted to install a rom and i just missed all up and destory everything and clicked the worng stuff
so now im turning my phone on and its saying
[670] fastboot_init( )
[770] USB init ept @ 0x1001e000
[790] udc_start
i tryed to click every bottom in my phone and its does nothing
i tryed to power+volum down
and power+volum up
and both
nothing works
and then i tryed to connect it to a computer and its just not connected and the pc cant reconize it and its not saying anything or showing that something is connect to the pc
i tryed to do it in 3 differents computers
and i know that its not like my phone screen is freezing cuz it typing more things on the phone when i connect it to the computer
i also cheaked that the drivers was updated
i will be really thxfull if someone know how to fix it

NFC won't switch on

Hey everyone, so my NFC used to work fine all the time, but I think it was since I have rooted my phone and upgraded to MM it will no longer activate. I switch it on in the settings menu or through the quick settings tile but it switches straight back off, and the NFC tests fail.

I'm thinking it might be a firmware problem or some problem from flashing, but I have terrible Internet at the moment and was hoping somebody might have an idea how to fix it without factory resetting etc..

I initially gained root on lollipop and created my own pre-rooted zip to update to MM, but I did have to use the bootloop fix. I have just upgraded again from 575 to 291 with my own pre-rooted zip hoping that might fix it, but same problem and I had to use bootloop fix again.. Any ideas what I might be able to do to fix it? thanks in advance!

Bricked my G Pad 7.0 LTE somehow. NEED HELP.

So I went through a rough night last night after trying to install a custom ROM on my AT&T G Pad 7.0. I followed everything as clearly as possible as I'm not new to custom firmware flashing, etc.
My problem currently is that my G Pad 7.0 is some sort of bricked. I've never bricked a device before and I'm honestly not sure how to go about fixing it, if at all possible. What makes me really concerned is that when I turn the device on and try to boot it, these weird lines cover the screen as shown below, and the it sounds like it boots up just fine as you can hear the AT&T chime and touch responses, but all you can see is the lines that cover the screen and nothing else.


I can however, still manage to boot into TWRP if I do a factory reset through the buttons on the tablet, so it makes me hopeful for being able to fix it.

For how I went about flashing the ROM originally, I had to revert the tablet from 5.0.2 back to 4.4.2 in order for the ROM to successfully install, and then I managed to root it with KingoRoot, and install TWRP. Then I put the ROM and the Gapps on the tablet, did a full wipe, and flashed them both in the order I was supposed to. Everything was successful, not a single error throughout the entire process, even the ROM said it was installed successfully. So I rebooted the tablet and that's when the lines showed up and the ROM never actually got booted. No sign of warning. So I got back into TWRP and tried flashing the stock 4.4.2 firmware from here, and it flashed successfully too, but to no avail as the lines were still there and it leaves me to where I am now.
And to add, I also cannot boot the device into download mode whatsoever.

Any thoughts or suggestions? It'd be really appreciated.

Flickering Always On Display

Hey guys,

I recieved the BHP6 update two days Go. Since the update the Always on Display and nightwatch are flickering , espacially in low light.

Anyone else having this problem? Could it be a hardware problem?

Screen adhesive tape not sticking to screen

Hi,
First time poster long time browser.
I broke my galaxy tab s sm-t805Y screen so bought a replacement lcd+Digitizer and 50m of 3m adhesive tape from ebay to stick the lcd+digitizer to the main frame.

I heated the tape slightly after putting it on the main frame, pushed the screen down and put around 10kg of books on top for 24hrs.
After using the tablet for 15 minutes the tape slowly comes away from the screen but stays on the frame.
I replaced all the adhesive tape again just incase i messed up but its failed to stick to the back side of the screen. When i touch the tape on the main frame where it sticks to the screen it is very sticky still.
Am i missing or forgetting something?

[TUTORIAL][Tethering]+[Android Pay] How to have your Nougat, and eat it too!

Obviously I'm not responsible for your mom exploding or your phone disowning you, but.....

I got tethering and Android Pay working on stock Nougat - that's Android N, folks - on a Nexus.
(confirmed will work on Marshmallow and up on 5, 5x, 6, 6p...etc.)

prerequisites:
working adb and fastboot (from platform-tools in the Android SDK if you don't know where to find it)
twrp .img for your device
latest stable systemless supersu

1. be on Marshmallow or Nougat obviously
2. flash twrp

(volume down + power on nexus gets you into bootloader, then after flashing recovery, use volume buttons to scroll and power button to select recovery mode)

3. flash systemless root while booted into twrp (unsure if .supersu SYSTEMLESS=true in /data is still needed, but can't hurt - mine is still there from earlier.)
4. while still in twrp, go to mount and check system. Make sure you allow changes.
5. from your computer, do this

echo "net.tethering.noprovisioning=true" >> /system/build.prop

6. reboot into Android.
7. Install Terminal Emulator from the Play Store.
8. Launch it, and in Terminal Emulator, do this

settings put global tether_dun_required 0

9. go into Supersu, expert, scroll to the bottom and hit full unroot. No, you don't want it to patch you back to the stock boot image or recovery*. If it hangs, just reboot and try doing it again.
10. ????
11. Profit! You should have tethering unlocked, be unrooted, and have full Android Pay goodness working.

To take an OTA, do this, because Flashfire gets confused after you've done build.prop edits -

1. go to About Phone, scroll down. Find your build number.
2. download that Nexus Factory Image.
3. Unzip it all. ALL OF IT.
4. Make sure you have Android SDK & platform-tools (or just a working Fastboot and ADB)
5. just flash boot, system, and recovery - you can now OTA with no problems. Then repeat the above guide on your new OTA. Confirmed working 10 minutes ago, OTA'ing from Marshmallow to Nougat and then getting tethering working again

ALTERNATE IF YOU PREFER FLASHFIRE:

All the above steps, but you only have to flash the System image to fix the build.prop hash fail then flashfire should work for you. Wouldn't necessarily recommend upgrading version numbers (6.0.1 to 7.0.0) with Flashfire, but who knows, it might work great! Chainfire is a wizard.

*you can do this if you want, but when I let it patch my boot image I got the dreaded "device corrupt!!!!1" message at boot. Did not try letting it flash stock recovery image.

(volume down + power on nexus gets you into bootloader, then after flashing recovery, use volume buttons to scroll and power button to select recovery mode)

3. flash systemless root while booted into twrp (unsure if .supersu SYSTEMLESS=true in /data is still needed, but can't hurt - mine is still there from earlier.)
4. while still in twrp, go to mount and check system. Make sure you allow changes.
5. from your computer, do this

7. Install Terminal Emulator from the Play Store.
8. Launch it, and in Terminal Emulator, do this

9. go into Supersu, expert, scroll to the bottom and hit full unroot. No, you don't want it to patch you back to the stock boot image or recovery*. If it hangs, just reboot and try doing it again.

11. Profit! You should have tethering unlocked, be unrooted, and have full Android Pay goodness working.

To take an OTA, do this, because Flashfire gets confused after you've done build.prop edits -

1. go to About Phone, scroll down. Find your build number.
2. download that Nexus Factory Image.
3. Unzip it all. ALL OF IT.
4. Make sure you have Android SDK & platform-tools (or just a working Fastboot and ADB)
5. just flash boot, system, and recovery - you can now OTA with no problems. Then repeat the above guide on your new OTA. Confirmed working 10 minutes ago, OTA'ing from Marshmallow to Nougat and then getting tethering working again

ALTERNATE IF YOU PREFER FLASHFIRE:

All the above steps, but you only have to flash the System image to fix the build.prop hash fail then flashfire should work for you. Wouldn't necessarily recommend upgrading version numbers (6.0.1 to 7.0.0) with Flashfire, but who knows, it might work great! Chainfire is a wizard.

*you can do this if you want, but when I let it patch my boot image I got the dreaded "device corrupt!!!!1" message at boot. Did not try letting it flash stock recovery image.

First time foray into rooting and roms....

Hi all.

I am really intrigued by some roms i see here especially Kingrom. I have never rooted a phone or anything past that but i am pretty tech savvy and have done some crazy stuff like downgrading and installing custom bootroms and OS's on nintendo 3ds which was a harrowing multi hour experience.
Anyway, before i root and install a custom recovery like TWRP, what are the dangers and downsides of starting this journey? Is it possible to un-root and go back to fully factory like-new? Does rooting and custom romming trip knox? Can i still get OTA updates from samsung?

Honor 7 graphics GPU problem?

Hi! Suspecting a graphics problem.

So... I just bought this phone. I charged it and updated to 6.0, then installed my apps.

It seemd a bit sluggish when handling graphics, which made me test it with 3dmark. I ran SlingShot ES3.1 and got quite poor results in the graphics section. Physics were fine (CPU related, I guess). Screenshot below. The graphics score was 323 (in one review, which I cant link) and the reference score in app is 283. Mine is 71. I had nothing running background and the phone was recently restarted. What could be the reason?

Carrier Aggregation ... am I currently using it?

I'm looking for the phone menu in the HTC that will let me know if it's doing carrier aggregation. Verizon says they're doing it in many of their zones but I have no way to verify. It will have something in the menu like "CA:ADDED, SC_NUM:3" but I currently can't find a menu that would have this.

*#*#3424#*#* shows me the testing menu.
I use viper and looked in the "hidden HTC Info menu" in venom tweaks but it doesn't show this information either.

Any other ideas?

Fire TV Stick - Netflix App - 5.1 gone

Hi Folks,

I noticed a few days ago that the 5.1 option no longer exists within the Netflix app. Factory settings have been made,the HDMI port was changed and directly connected to my AVR. Unfortunately without a result. Only the stereo output is available. Maybe there is something wrong with the new OS (5.2.1.1)

The Netflix support is perplexed and says I'm the only one who has this problem .. but I know I'm not. ;)

Do you have the same problem?

Turbo ROM - Mobile network isn't working?

This may not belong here but i really need help with this so could someone please help me? My problem is that when i flash TurboROM it doesn't show any kind of connection (no 4G, 3G or anything but it recognizes the SIM). Any other ROM that i flash works but not this one... Galaxy S6 Edge notification issues

Hello Android community!

As the title says, I am having some issues with notifications on my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge.

The version I use, is Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, G925FXXU4DPGW and the model number is SM-G925F.

The problem is this:

Whenever I receive a notification from certain apps, it shows the pop-up window like normally, however, the notification does not stick in the notifications drawer, so, if I am not using the phone at the the time, I don't know if I received any new notifications, plus, there is not any notification sound either, and the phone just randomly vibrates from time to time, even when the screen is on, and sometimes without any pop-up window.

This is happening with Facebook, YouTube, and almost every downloaded app I have, but it is not happening with messages and phone calls. Whenever I receive a message or a phone call, the phone rings and vibrates like it should and I see the messages at the notification drawer but not the phone calls.

Any idea on how this happened and how to solve it? I still haven't tried a hard reset but I would like to avoid it and don't know if it will work either.

Please help me and sorry about my english but it is not my first language.

Galaxy A5 2016 (6.0) (Stock) YouTube 1080p60fps problem.

Hi everyone.

I have a problem with my A5 2016 (Snapdragon Version), the problem is YT app, I can't play ANY video in 1080p60fps.
I have this problem since I updated my device to android 6.0. I've tried everything what uncle Google suggested me.
Clearing data/cache, reinstalling updates...
When I had android 5.0 problem was solved by disabling HW overlays and forcing 2D GPU rendering in dev options.
Details of a problem:
Image freezes
Sound does not
I also had this problem while I owned S4, but then, I didn't even had option to choose 1080p60fps. (cm13 OPTIMIZED)
Phone not rooted, stock kernel and ROM, Knox flag untouched.

Differences between virgin and sprint samsung galaxy s7?

Ok so I have done some research on this topic, but i still have many questions. I have a virgin mobile s7 which i had to buy directly from them (i do not understand why though) and the phone says it is g930p (as if it were sprint). I know that virgin mobile is powered by the sprint network, but many things are still unclear to me. I would appreciate it if you guys could clear up some things for me. (I live in the USA btw)

1. Are there any differences in root method for the virgin galaxy s7 as compared to the sprint? I have been led to believe that there isn't, but i would appreciate knowing for sure. The reason why i am concerned is because it seems like root causes some problems with LTE and im wondering if the solutions would be the same across providers.

2. If i wanted to I could unlock my phone through virgin and use it with other cdma carriers right? For example, could i switch to sprint network?

3. Are there any other differences between sprint and virgin mobile galaxy s7's besides that they use different networks?

4. Would other guides such as gaining hotspot without root work on my virgin mobile galaxy s7?

5. If you have some spare time, I would appreciate a post that outlines all of the notable differences between a sprint galaxy s7 and a virgin mobile galaxy s7.

Hey XDA. I have a canadian G930W8, exynos flat S7. I had it rooted on stock. MY FRP lock is off. I am selling it so went to flash stock, to unroot and have it fresh for next owner! Upon trying to flash stock Bell mobility firmware i got from the official samfirmware downloader tool, it gets about 30 seconds into recovery and fails. Now my phone cant access anything except download mode. I cant connect to smart switch because it doesnt detect my phone when plugged in while in download mode. I've been using ODIN 3.10, 3.11 and 3.12 Can anyone offer me any help? I am willing to throw a few bucks your way if we can get it up and running. Thanks so much

No Recent Apps unless I reboot, and then only for a few hours

I'm finding that the Recent Apps screen tends to lose it's memory and show "No Recent Apps" constantly. It clears up for a few hours if I reboot, but typically, within a day it's back to "No Recent Apps". has anyone else experienced this?

I am on the latest Firmware (32.2.A.0.253-US) and it was an OTA update, (as have been all of my updates). The phone is unrooted and bootloader locked and always has been. And I'm using the Xperia Home launcher, but the issue exists in the Google Now launcher as well.

Stuck/bootloader 41.1A*/XT1032 can't flash any rom or blankflash again.Help please.

Can somebody help me?
After blankflash bootloader 411A* i can revive
my phone with any rom.
XT1032 moto g 2013.
Every time it gives error with:
Preflash validation failed or permission denied
I've try to blankflash again by forcing drivers
in win 10 to see it.
The device is seen (device manager)as qualcom 9008.
It doesn't do anything said waiting for device when i try to blankflash again.
So i am stuck in a crazy locked bootloader with
no partition on phone nothing.....
I've try to flash almost all available rom for it.
Same result,every time failed with permision denied
or partition downgraded for gpt
(blue letters warning)
or Preflash validation failed .....
Any idea how can i flash a moto or boot image of
any rom to revive it?
I am tired of trying so many.....
If i can make the phone be seen
by RSD lite i can try to flash thru it.
But is not recognize by any of
the RSD Lite versions....

How to increase phone memory?

I looked for topics but couldnot see anything about this.

I have 32 gb sd card. Despite i moved some apps, phone memory is full now. i cant install anything. i cleared cache but still no place.

I think there are 2 choices, make sd card as internal or divide some part of sd card as internal.

OR are there any ways?

Found a Nexus 7 in trash can, seem to boot, looking for cheapest screen replacement.

Hi, i found a Nexus 7 (2012) in an electronic container, the tablet seem to boot after letting it charge 30min and holding power on for 10sec. I cannot be sure if it's 100% working but the upper screen seem to have gray bar moving until 3min later when it stopped (booting until lock screen). The screen's totally unusable since it has a big shatter section in the center. I am looking for a recommendation of the cheaper screen replacement i could get on any website. Ebay at the moment seem the best at $26 USD, i live in Canada.

S7 maybe fullbricked

Hi,

i update my Galaxy S7 today with the new DBT-Firmware. I follow a Tutorial in which you can update a rooted Phone with flashify it without loss any data. Also the TWRP works still great after this. I did this with the last Firmware few weeks ago and it works great.

Today it works great also, everything was perfect. Than a last step: I flash the the bootloader seperately in odin. i did this the last time too and it works well. but not at this time.

After Bootloader flash, the device stays in the first Screen with Samsung Logo, i cannot go to Download Mode or Recovery. I tried a USB-Jig, but it changes nothing. The only thing you can do now is, to make a Reset with Power+Volume Down. Than the screen goes black for a second and it shows the Samsung Logo Screen again.

bad thing is: I cant turn off the device!
i remove the SIM and the SD-Card, but no reaction.
Anybody an idea? The battery was half loaded, so maybe it takes a while, before it will shutdown itself.

Mhhh, that's a bad day, i fear. But iam an Idiot, it was the Bootloader-Flash at the end, before that everything was perfect.

Maybe anybody can help me, that were great.

Please help me! [LG GPad 7.0 V410]

Please help me! I know this is the wrong thread, but I just got this account so I can't post in the proper one.
I've tried downgrading my GPad to version 4.4.1 with that one leaked KDZ, and now my device won't get past the AT&T logo.
It was on version 5.0.2 using an OTA update.
I attempted flashing using LG's 2014 flash tool, it said "Cannot connect to server" or something along those lines.
I had root at one point but uninstalled it due to Kingroot's weird permissions. (I know, stupid me.)
I'm really at a loss here. I thought I had TWRP recovery but I apparently don't. Weird.
I'm on the verge of tears trying to fix this, lmao. I have the proper drivers and ADB installed on my computer.
Can someone please help?

My tablet is rooted and modded.
I have an annoying update pop-up that says I have an update (137mb) from tmobile. (Aug 2016)
Will this break my root?
Will I be able to re-root the device?

I have not seen any downloads from Sam mobile and don't want to break my tablet trying to flash older firmware in case the bootloader gets an update.

Has anyone gotten the update? Any problems?

Battery at 94 percent and says estimated life 5 hrs???

Was just wondering if anybody else had run into this. It says I'm at 94% and its showing I only have 5 hours of battery life estimated left. Can this be right? My Samsung S7 Edge has 87% and it's showing it's going to last 10 hours. I'm running 7.0 nougat also.

"Allow OEM Unlocking" grayed in Official Android N 7.0.0 NRD90M

Probably im not the only one here with this or even everyone with new version of system go this issue.
I'm talking about option "Allow OEM Unlock" in Developer Menu (have to press 10 times on build version in "Information about phone"). Till I've been on Marshmallow 6.0.1 (till MTC20F) this option was possible to turn it on and off -> what was nice way to make phone safer. First i got message about new (1,1GB OTA 7.0) update, then installed it and find out that this option is grayed, so i flashed full firmware from http://ift.tt/I8N1Xl with full return to stock and factory reset. It didn't helped still its grayed out (by whole time it is grayed on ON position), so i sideloaded SuperSU without changing system integrity (read only in twrp) - still grayed. Anyone knows how to do this working ??

I'm using a more update firmware and I have tried a lot of modems (CP). I dont know what do do and im desperate because dont have money to pay technical assistance right now.
I'm trying to fix my phone about 3 days now.
He suddenly stopped work and after some hard trys it starts to charge again. But unfortunately got stuck on start up. He's boot looping and then Odin is showing this error(while in download mode, of course).
Also when I try to hard reset, show a 'Manual mode' but dont show the options to click and then back to the looping.

Used ADB to unlock bootloader but now ADB can't "see" the phone in download mode

I have a Windows 7 PC and I used that with Android SDK to unlock the bootloader and that worked. Now (trying to install recovery) I can put the phone (5.1.1) in download mode and the PC registers the phone in Device Manager but ADB doesn't see it. I've changed nothing with the PC since unlocking the bootloader and I've confirmed USB debugging is enabled on the phone but the command 'adb devices' lists nothing below 'List of Devices Attached'. Has anyone heard of this? Any troubleshooting suggestions?

[HELP!] Moto X stuck in boot loop!

My Moto X 1st Gen (XT1052, Locked bootloader, default Lollipop 5.1.1) went dead out of nowhere. I noticed that my WhatsApp was FCing every few minutes. I ignored it, but the phone just went dead. When i pressed and held the power button, the phone went into a boot loop. I can access the recovery menu but it does not go into any of the options, just goes back to bootloop after selecting any option.
Also, i notice that the screen flashes for about half a second, every 20 secs and i can see the Android bot lying on its back with the Red exclamation and 'No command' text below it.
What's the solution to this?

need some Help with GT-S5830 regarding changing the theme

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum so excuse me if this isn't the right section to post my problem.

so I tried to change the theme of my Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 after I install a custom ROM in it, so I installed ROM toolbox Lite and I tried to change the phone's theme from there but it didn't work, after that I searched for some apps (I thought that my phone needed those apps to apply the themes from ROM Toolbox Lite) apps like : Theme chooser ,Theme changer, Theme manager and I kept rebooting each time I installed a theme thinking that what must be done so my phone can load it. but nothing changed, so after some searching on google I found a topic in this forum that has some APK files to choose from to change the phone's theme and it must replace Touchwiz30.apk in the System/app directory and give it the permission to write , read and read but I didn't find it with that exact name ,in my case it was called TouchSpaceWiz50.apk so I deleted it and went and tried to replace it with the one I've downloaded except I couldn't give it the permission and I got an error message that says I can't change some system files permissions.

so I ended up without the file TouchSpaceWiz50.apk in my System/app directory not to mention that I wasn't able to go to the home screen.
so I turned off the phone and on again only to find out that the phone is frozen on the boot animation screen, it doesn't keep rebooting just stuck at the boot animation that keeps playing.
I was able to fix this problem by re-installing the custom ROM from my SD-Card. but the main questions is why I wasn't able to change the theme via ROM Toolbox Lite when I have a custom Rom that includes ThemeChooser? and why the other apps didn't work as well? and is there another way to install themes? because I wasn't able to find any. and thanks in advance. :)

My s7 is arriving today and I was all set to root. But I keep reading posts about how the phone becomes super laggy with all types of battery drain.

I guess I'm trying to gauge if that's a real issue or people just overreacting.

[Question] Best Practise to make a profile based on more than one variable state?

I would like to change my audio profiles based on different situations:

Audioprofile Normal
Normal audiosettings at daytime, when car is not connected and no meeting in calendar.

Audioprofile Night.
Silent audiosettings at nighttime, but only when I'm at home and car is not connected.

Audioprofile Car
Audioprofile in car when connected to bluetooth. Overwrites every other audioprofile.

Audioprofile Silent
Audioprofiles for meetings and special locations.

Every state has his own variable, like the daytime, the bluetooth connection, my location etc..
So I tought I could combine the variable states in a profile with "Variable Value" and the operator AND:

"Audio@Meeting"
Variable Value
%Day=1
AND
%Meeting=1
AND
%Car=0
Enter Task=Audioprofile Silent

But I read this in the Tasker Wiki:

Warning: if you want to trigger on a variable and then take some action which sets the thing the variable represents you should use the Variable Set event instead. A Variable Value state will cause complications when the state exits and tries to restore the value again.
...

With "Variable Set" I can only query the value of one variable. That's not enough for my profiles.
How could I do this? Is the warning still valid?

Does anyone feel left out on the android nougat update? Also info on battery saving!

Idk about you guys but I think that huawei won't care enough to update our device to 7.0 Given how things are going I'm speculating exactly that. And I wanted to know what are your thoughts on this. Also not sponsored XD but if anyone is searching for a case, get a "head" case from ebay (they feel super nice and the buttons respond so well). I may add a photo and I know the case is off topic but I'm trying to cover a few things and help out if someone is still struggling with that. Also if you feel that you device is a power hog then just unprotect a few apps from settings (that seems to work best). But you should probably go to smart and if possible stop wakelocks with Xposed if you have it installed (if you don't knw what that is then kindly look around the threads if you want to install it or not).

How to reinstall stock rom!?

Hello
I unlocked my bootloader, then installed CWM, rooted then installed unofficial EMUI 4 ROM.
But I was EMUI 3.1 before...
So my Honor 6 didn't work after that and never couldn't boot the ROM
When I try to install CWM again by Multi-Tool, flashing error says that I need to check the confirmation dialog on my device but I cant't access to my device because there is no ROM :|
I installed EMUI 4 stock recovery and now what can I do for reinstall the rom -_- :(
Is there any way at all?

Device restarting 1 minute after the boot is complete. Need to get my photos back.

Hi, my device is restarting exactly 1 minute after the boot finishes. I can even mess around, open some apps and stuff, and then it restarts. I'm using the stock rom. If I dirt flash the stock rom, can I at least get my photos back before a proper flash? I know a factory reset will fix my problem, but that would also erase all my pics.

Does anyone uses FlashFire with the HTC 10?

Just asking about this because when I first launched FlashFire I got a message saying that FlashFire was untested on HTC devices.

Is anyone using FlashFire successfully? Which features do you use or which ones have you tested? Did any of them failed?

I'm interested in the backup/restore functionality and flashing .zip files. To be specific, systemless versions of SuperSU, Xposed and AdAway. That's it. I'm not interested in flashing OTAs, for that I just let the system work by itself.

I might just have said something stupid but... How can I use FlashFire to flash systemless SuperSU if I didn't gain root by flashing SuperSU through TWRP? Won't I always have to flash SuperSU through TWRP?

Accidentally restored original stock rom backup - how to get back to CM?

Hey!

So my girlfriend owns a Fire Phone, on which I installed CM-11 for her. Now she accidentally entered Safestrap (4.01) and restored the backup of the original stock rom I created when I installed CM-11 for the first time. When I restart the phone now, the original Fire OS boots.

Now I'd like to reinstall CM-11, but I don't want to lose all the data (App Data, Pictures...). What would be the best way to do this?

Is it possible to access the data on the phone while in safestrap? In the File Manager I can see it's still there, but when I connect the phone to my PC via USB nothing happens.
Could I simply transfer the CM-11 Image and flash it, without doing a factory reset? How can I transfer the CM-11 Image to the phone storage?
Or could I simply boot into the Fire OS, try to transfer the data via USB from there and go on from there? She doesn't want to lose her App Data, if that is possible.

**edit: Actually the original CM-11 image I once flashed is still on the phone. Could I simply re-flash it?

Mi4c bootloader Unlock failed!!!

My MIUI version is 7.5.2 (Chinese Stable) . I want to unlock the bootloader and flash custom rom like sMIUI. Tried the official way to unlock and i got the sms with the verification key but failed while unlocking at 50% which is very frustrating. Would be grateful if anyone please help me in details cause i have less idea about flashing any mobile phone.

Amazon fire 5.1.1 bootloop

It's been a long time. About one-two years ago, I flashed Slim.LP on my Amazon Fire 5.1.1 device and everything was great. Then I decided to play with the "Layers" app. I found a layer, applied it, then restarted - but my tablet couldn't start because it was now in a bootloop. I guess the "Layers" app was broken or something. :eek: Anyways, back then, I scoured the forums looking for a fix to my doomed device; but the search was in vain. Now, in 2016. I've decided to give it a go again. Does anyone know of a way to help me? The tablet can boot into fastboot (==>FASTBOOT) normally, but as for the recovery, the tablet hangs on the "Amazon" logo. Please reply if you think you can help! :cowboy:

I need your guys help!

So recently I have put myself in a sticky situation where I have bricked my s6 edge + By a stupid attempt to remove root through the supersu app. I have wiped the phone with the stock recovery options and it still wont boot. I am unable to get into download mode for some unknown reason so i can't just Odin a new os or whatever (as you can probably tell I have a very basic knowledge on phone rooting etc..) To make things even better is that my volume up button is broken but sometimes work if you smash it!

Nexus 6p again?

I have 2 more weeks to return the phone... The phone it's great ( price, build quality , screen resolution ... Battery life got way better Whit time and some apps disable) but it looks like ZTE will never release the factory images for us to play Whit the phone as we like on a way would hate to return it back....
So its that's the case I don't see any other phone worth buying now but going back to the nexus 6p since the upcoming nexus by htc looks more like a downgrade [emoji29] ...
Would you guys consider a downgrade going back to the. 6p ? I saw them at 399 the 64 gigs on Amazon last weeks and I think I should of got it at that price 😣

[APP][4.0+] StickBubbles - tuneup your selfies on Instagram

Stickbubbles is simple application which can put your comments with emoticons, GPS places, links direct within your picture via QR code. Bubbles are not written in the picture, but are stored in a small QR code well placed in some corner of it.





This feature would be great for teens making selfies or photos to just include messages about their parties, new clothes and other stuff into pictures. For example, people selling stuff on Instagram will no more need to write comments about stuff details below of a picture. Instead of that, all data will be stored in QR code like phone numbers, emails, discounts, where to buy it, at what price... Via StickBubbles app, user can put bubble on each part of an image he wants to describe. StickBubbles will create QR code which could be placed at the best place in a image and then shared to an audience. If you are likely to share confidential message, no problem. Oh, I almost forgot… How to read bubbles from StickBubbles pictures? That is easy, just open Instagram via StickBubbles application, find picture with logo StickBubbles and QR code in it and choose Copy Share URL operation. The rest is up to StickBubbles. Bootloader / DC Unlocker Question

Hi folks, when I load DC Unlocker with my P9 pluged in, the only option I get is "factory reset protection erase" - from the help pages on their site, it seems this option does not unlock the bootloader? If not, how do I do so?
